EMERGENCY APPEAL
Oplan PANDAmayan
WWF-Philippines campaign to raise funds and provide immediate help and relief to survivors and communities affected by Super Typhoon Odette.
Our communities need your help!
The worsening effects of the climate crisis are wreaking havoc on Filipinos’ daily lives, but the most vulnerable feel and experience it way worse. In a country like the Philippines - this has become an almost annual event.
This climate crisis has become our constant and repeated reality. Super Typhoon Odette which devastated the islands of Visayas and Mindanao last December 17 and 18 is no exception. Among those affected are our partner communities in Dinagat Islands and Siargao, and the municipalities of Araceli, Dumaran and Roxas in Palawan. Odette’s onslaught ravaged these areas whose people are only beginning to get back on their feet after being affected by closures due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
IMMEDIATE: Relief and Recovery
We are responding to the requests of our partner communities, and so far, their immediate needs are:
- Shelter repair kits
- Water
- Food
We are coordinating with the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation to ensure proper distribution of your donations.
In the spirit of our Filipino values of bayanihan and pakikipagkapwa, let us come together for the communities of Dinagat Islands, Siargao and Palawan.
Our kababayans in Dinagat Islands, Siargao and Palawan need all the support they can get - and all the help we can give.
