BACKGROUND 

As countries design their post-COVID recovery plans, there is a unique opportunity to help them orient their investments into infrastructure projects that are consistent with long-term climate targets while supporting economic growth and job creation in the short term. More than 60% of global GHG emissions are embedded in existing infrastructure systems. The infrastructure built in the next five years, particularly in fast-growing Asia, will determine not just GHG trajectories for decades to come, but our ability to adapt and build resilience to the impacts already underway and, consequently, our collective ability to achieve long-term climate and biodiversity goals. 

This consultancy is in support of WWF's objectives under the larger project,  Sustainable Infrastructure in  Asia Program (SIPA),  led by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and in cooperation with multiple partners to support countries in Central and Southeast  Asia in meeting their objectives under the  Paris Agreement through sustainable infrastructure planning and development. WWF contributes to the specific objective of "improving capacity in the target regions for upstream strategic infrastructure planning to ensure that investment projects are situated within broader long-term sustainable development pathways (incorporating low-carbon  transition  and  climate  resilience  goals)."  WWF is working collaboratively with government partners and key stakeholders through WWF country offices in Indonesia and the Philippines to identify areas of natural capital and the ecosystem benefits they contribute to climate resilience for communities and infrastructure: for example, forests that reduce flooding or prevent soil erosion, wetlands that absorb floodwaters, or coastal mangroves that provide protection against extreme storms, also known as nature-based solutions (NbS). 

For the  Philippines,  to promote the  SIPA  project and to further increase awareness and understanding of the use of NbS, the production of a set of multimedia products will be undertaken. This engagement will include a professional video documentation of the project's activities and interactions with key stakeholders for broadcast and distribution (in an agreed format), with a small print manual which summarizes highlights of the video and a series of short video capsules of 5-7 minutes each. Still photographs of professional quality made throughout the filming shall be made available for use by WWF for publications in annual reports, brochures, etc., and social media. This task shall be achieved through effective coordination and collaboration with the project staff, relevant WWF staff, and relevant partners and stakeholders. The work will be coordinated to the best extent possible with other sustainability projects currently planned or under implementation in WWF Philippines and within the region.

SCOPE OF WORK 

Under the SIPA Project, the duties and responsibilities of the Video documenter shall cover the following: 

• Develop video documentary's overall concept and scenario based on project inputs.
• Work with SIPA project staff and consultants for video documentation on various project implementation activities, including stakeholder meetings and field visits. 
• Take the lead in developing the documentary theme and storyline, with inputs from SIPA project staff and consultants. 
• Take charge of developing and producing short video clips for social media use.
• Perform video shoot interviews with relevant parties of the SIPA project.
• Ensure that all WWF PH requests and instructions for videography and video editing are carried out. 
• Ensure videography is of the highest possible quality—preferably at least HD 1920x1080.
• Make use of correct video formats as requested by WWF PH and ensure that backup copies are provided. 
• Work with WWF PH's Communications Team to ensure video documentation follows the required WWF specifications. 
• Work with the highest professional and ethical standards, and adhere to WWF PH's core values. 

DELIVERABLES 

1. Submission of storyboard and script for overall documentation concept before filming
2. Present draft overarching video documentation of the SIPA PH project in an agreed format
3. Produce an edited video recording/documentation of the SIPA PH, concepts and highlights
4. A series of 3-4 video capsules (5-7 minutes each) on the different aspects of SIPA, NbS, and related topics 
5. 100 still photographs of professional quality selected in coordination with the WWF-PH Communications Team 
6. A small manual which summarizes highlights of the video, professionally laid out and print-ready 

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Relevant certification in creatives/ art degree/ visual communications and other related fields.
• At  least  three  (3)  years  of  professional  experience  in  producing  high-quality  multimedia content or has a solid professional background in graphic design and layout print materials;
• Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suites programs and/or other editing software;
• Strong technical and multimedia skills.
• Experience in producing print and electronic campaign materials for social media is preferred. 
• Familiarity with the assigned local area and  language/s  is an advantage  (i.e., Cebuano, Butuanon).
• Previous work experience with other non-government organizations/environment sector with an understanding of communication requirements needed for high-impact results is desirable.
